Make Your Own Investment Rules

Today I want to start this series on guidelines of the game by getting you to believe in a different way about your life. I’m not assuring that you’ll have some sort of life-changing moment, however if you pay attention to this and future articles,I think you’ll experience benefits. After all,you can’t flex the rules to your advantage until you understand what they are!

What is a guideline?

Prior to starting, let me cover a couple of standard ideas and principles.
What is a guideline? Well,a guideline is basically a broad classification of beliefs that specify how somebody thinks the world operates. The keyword here is “thinks.”
The majority of the time, individuals are operating on guidelines that they set on their own without even understanding it.

Rules You Believe Exist

What are some rules you might subconsciously follow? Well,in my profession and noticing my interactions with individuals,I have actually found these to be the most typical:

· You need to work more to make more money.

· If you are a dedicated worker, your work will be rewarded.

· You need to go to school to get a great job.

· The federal government will look after you in retirement.

Want to understand a common thing amongst all of these guidelines? They do not exist! In reality, more times than not, these guidelines are broken. You think that they are tried and real, but individuals will screw you over, you won’t get what you desire, and you’ll simply assume it’s because they are dreadful people.
In reality, you’re the just one imagining them, and everyone else is doing simply great without them.

The Flip Side

If these imaginary rules do not exist and everyone does not follow them, why not follow your own set of guidelines? Actually, guidelines are important; but it’s essential you’re following the right set of rules.
Rules must be empowering, they should set a requirement of conduct for you to follow, they must have a cause-and-effect relationship with your results, and they need to set your protocols and procedures.
